Sekolah Enuma: Curriculum and Content

Learn about Sekolah Enuma’s learning philosophy, curriculum and content.

Learning Philosophy

Sekolah Enuma was designed with three core principles in mind. These three principles are common across all of Enuma’s products, including Sekolah Enuma.

All children deserve access to high-quality learning experiences. We create programs that any child can learn from, regardless of their abilities or prior knowledge. For example, Sekolah Enuma is designed so that young children who are new to English can still learn independently from the program as it incorporates a lot of non-text visual guidance as well as video examples.

In education, one size does not fit all. Every child is unique. A single sequence of activities won’t fit all children, especially those with special learning needs. A single pace won’t allow all learners to master the skills and knowledge they need to reach their full potential. So we create programs that meet the individual needs of each child. In Sekolah Enuma, children take in-app placement tests to determine their starting level in each subject, and periodic check-ins determine each child’s individual pace and progress.

An engaged learner is a dedicated learner. Our brains are wired to learn. They respond to new patterns and information with feelings of joy, and encourage us to seek out new skills and knowledge. We can help children’s early learning - and help them develop positive learning habits - by making the learning experience more engaging and joyful. Sekolah Enuma is designed to engage and reward children. Children earn rewards for completing activities, and non-distracting animations throughout the application add appeal while children play.

Curriculum Overview

The curriculum and content of Sekolah Enuma is based on leading research, best practices, well-examined learning standards, expert input, and interactive learning design principles. A team of global education experts developed the curriculum to support children not only in well-resourced learning environments but also in remote, high-need areas. In addition to the main curricular subjects of Literacy, Math and English, the program includes curricula for digital literacy and early childhood education.

Digital Literacy

Sekolah Enuma is designed so that young children can use the touchscreen to interact with the content independently. This independence builds their confidence in learning, but also in using digital tools. The application is intuitive to use, and the early level activities help young children, or those new to digital learning, to comfortably engage with interactive digital media.
